    I am writing to you today has I was advised. I was told I would be offered a goodwill gesture. To compensate the inconvenience I have suffered with an order from you . I placed an order back in 25th Feb I was given a delivery date 2 maybe 3 times then was cancelled . I had got rid of my original furniture and was then stuck with none.
    Finally got delivery on 17th April only to find when unpacked the glass was smashed. I then had to wait another 10 weeks to get it replaced. Also had matching bedside drawers delivered in between again waited months. Had to put up with angry delivery service because I wanted to check them before signing due to what happened with last delivery. All in all been a very frustrating and stressful transaction.

    1. I ordered sofa bed for my daughter, the delivery men were un cooperative from
      the time they arrived. Said it was to heavy to take up a flight of steirs then said it was to big to go inthe door. My daughter got very annoyed with them and asked them their names. They refused to give them. Did in the end deliver it ok. Unfortuneately the sofa bed was a disaster. It continully came out of the runners and when the bed was opened up the third stage where your feet would ley kept collapsig due to the wrong metal bracket being fitted. Terrible piece of engineering. Item was returned to Argos.
      It really needs removing from your catalogue in my opinion. Selling items such as this is not doing Argos any favours. They did however accept a no quibble return and refunded my money very promptly . For that i say Thankyou to them.

    2. How disappointing and I feel you must me angry Argos can be delayed she’ll we say I had to stop in on a pick up twice as they failed to turn up. I hope they got the compensation I bet you had no apology either customer service is lately down the pan Plymouth

    1. I have to say that I am an ardent fan of Argos. I too have had one or two hiccups with them but they have always been first class resolving any issues. It is for this reason that I always shop there first. It does sound like Linda had a very frustrating time though.

  2. I wish I had researched Argos online shopping earlier.its been stressful i could go What I don’t understand is their “policy”. I’ll explain, you order something all in good faith , pay as normal and wait patiently for your item to be delivered. BUT when their is a problem and you decide to cancel they are reluctant to refund you just as quickly as they take your money.

    Purchased a watch with a live time guarantee 6 months ago
    It now gains time regularly.
    When I returned it last week the assistant arranged another replacement to be sent to the store, I made the trip to the store today to collect it, to be told no stock refund or chose another, when I asked how much I had I was told £ ha ha ha I paid nearly £ oh refund?

  5. I bought a Karcher K4 pressure washer from Argos Letchworth. This item developed a fault and was not working. So I went back to the place of purchase and spoke to a member of staff about the problem but on the first time I could not find the receipt and I told her I could not find any receipt. She said a bank statement would be fine to look it up on Argos System I gave her the date I resisted the item on she could not help or not willing?. After over an hour of searching my emails and bank statements I came along the email Argos E receipt. The second time at the Argos same time I spoke to the same lady she then looked up the item and said you need to contact the manufacture to repair or replace the item. I have since contacted the manufacture and they have been great and solved the problem. Shame about Argos after sales support which I found very poor. I was thinking about buying a Samsung S7 and a Tablet from Argos but due the the recent experience with them…i dont know.

  6. I bought a Samsung J 3 mobile phone for my 11 years old daughter at Argos, with a voucher. I thought the phone was electronically credited as in most phone stores. Gave the phone to my daughter and informed her that the phone was credited.
    she informed me that she was unable to make calls. I was surprised
    I called the EE Customer Services to find out what happened but was unable phone, so I called them with my phone. The lady I spoke with confirmed that the phone was bought with a credit but it has not been credited. She asked if I have the voucher receipt which I said no, she advised I go back to the store and explained the situation to them. That they will re-issue the voucher as it has not been used.

    I went to Argos at the above address, met a lady at the Customer Service counter and explained the situation to her, she said she is not sure if they can re-issue the voucher but went to contact the manager. A few minutes later, a man appeared, did not introduce his self I was surprised by sort of comment from a manager but went ahead to narrate the story all over, again. I also told him about my chat with the EE Customer Service and their advise.
    But he insisted, and went further to explain to me what a voucher is. Which clearly shows that he did not believe a word I said.
    I said to him, I cannot categorically say that the voucher was given or not but since it has not been used can it be cancelled and re-issued, please. But sadly he BLUNTLY REFUSED, but rather talking on top of his voice.
    I am a regular Argos customer.

  7. Bought a doro phone in Argos store
    Got home and found that the battery was to big to fit phone and had Someone’s name scrawelled in pen on it.
    I rang to complain and had phone put down on me. Im so cross.

  8. I must until the 24th August I have always had good products and service from Argos limited. However getting a faulty microwave picked up appears to be testing for their processes. First told we don’t repair and you can not have another one until November given a told to take to local store. All good it seemed yet the store refused to take the microwave off me. Despite lots of phone calls to the 3 telephone numbers I have me given, call backs, live chats, a letter from head office still no resolution as I am still bouncing between phone numbers and contacts with polite conversations, promises it will resolved, it’s not us etc etc.

I placed an order over the phone as the Argos nline server was down, ordered 6 items, received 5, the driver had nothing to give me as proof, but advised me to call customer service the following day. After speaking with the delivery team, I was told that they have the outstanding delivery details, but it was not due to be despatched, which she was rectifying. I then advised that I have placed 2 other separate orders and they are going to be delivered using Royal mail, however I have received no email, she passed me through to another team, where my nightmare had only just begun! I spoke to a woman called Sally, who apparently is in the two man team, she simply said that I haven’t received the email because the initial agent forgot to enter my email address, I said that I wanted confirmation of my orders, but apparently she was unable to do this, after her constant tutting, I asked for her to check the reference numbers for me, which after a battle of ‘tell if you have a ref that means the order has been placed’…. I eventually said, ‘why can’t you just check them, to keep me, the customer happy’! Which she eventually did, I requested to speak with a supervisor, when she simply said NO, there was no explanation given. There’s plenty of people out of work, I’m sure Argos can find a person, who takes customer service seriously. I am utterly disappointed in Argos. I had to surf net to add my comment, as Sally did not give me the correct email address, to forward my complaint.

  10. I’m sorry if this is the wrong place to 0ut my comment as it’s not a complaint. Infact the opposite. I purchased a small set of bedside drawers from Argos store I’m Market Drayton. Got it home but unfortunately there was a piece missing. Went back into the store where I was served by a young man whose name was Gareth. My complaint was dealt with very quickly with politeness and efficiently. People are very quick to complain but not to say thank you when good customer care is given. So thank you Gareth of Market Drayton Argos.

I picked up two lamp tables from Cannock store got them home to find a part was missing from one of them.i visited store but no more were available 😒So rang to explain my dilemma do I take them both back or wait till more are in stock?a lovely lady called Kerry spent time looking to see expected delivery near to me and rang me back to give very valuable info.well done Kerry your a star and I wish you happy Christmas !!!!

I a wanting to purchase a Disney Princess Colours of the sea Ariel Playset, it states you get a free watch with it, but no branches have the watches in stock, what the point on advertising this if you have none available, this is false advertising… If we do decide to purchase the doll do we get the watch WHEN IF EVER they are in stock.

I am extremely angry at the way i have been treated by the Argo Store in Chatham to day what ever happened to the customers right s I if some isn’t suitable for the customer and they return the item shouldn’t they be entitled to at least some form of refund To day i was refused a refund I was so angry that I just walked out of the chatham store and left the item in the shop i might even put my day event on Facebook

    I am writing to complain about neglecting my report for an item is bought from Argos Bush Cooker which I have reported several times on the phone as well as in store at old kent since February to now, not even a single call of reassurance and I have hence been buying takeaways for my kids and I. I’m suppose to enjoy the value for my money but appear to be otherwise and I’m really feeling let down. Is it fair?

I had a exerience with them….I bought a tv the saler told me that is everything inside but at home I saw is missing the legs and instructions .From few days I try to fixed the problem but they pass me to others and nothing… Tv was one ex display model with discount and one Argos agent from chat told me like I bought something second hand….I hope somebody to make something for as….

Ordered a printer for my business and on their website they said their customer services would be able to provide the VAT invoice, why they are not online or emailed as is done by most websites I don’t know. On not finding any customer services in the website I called the service number entered the order number then the 30 seconds later the phone was hung up before I even got to speak to any human. Guess use Argos again later.

    1. Online I chose an item using paypal to pay for it.
      My card details were out of date so I was unable to proceed.
      As the item chosen was in stock at my local store I went to the store.
      I was told the item is not available and was not shown on the shop assistant’s tablet.
      A second choice was not available so i ended up with a third choice item which was £40 dearer than my intended purchase.
      I was in a position where I had to replace a failed mower on that day.
      If otherwise I would not have bought the much dearer item.
      I later checked on line again to see if the item was available. It was: so i reserved an item.
      I intended to revisit the store to obtain an explanation – your survey email came before i was able to visit.
