    I’ve spent well over an and a quarter in phone calls since Saturday trying to get through to Expedia to change my nectar points into Expedia vouchers. In this time the price of the hotel I want to book has risen. I’m still in a queue on my fourth attempt of calling. The message states under two minutes waiting time! So far I’ve waited 25 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes and currently 40 minutes.

  4. service. Tried getting through for 45 minutes and 20 minutes yesterday out of a total of 6 attempts four of which were dropped by their call handling system after navigating the menus. Currently on hold this morning with 15 minutes elapsed so far. I have a very serious problem related to a repeated charge on my credit card which my bank cannot stop because it relates to a transaction, but its a transaction that did not complete so the only way to prevent money being taken from my account is to block my credit card. Getting a repeated message saying sorry for the delay is just making me more angry because this happens with any web based companies. They simply don’t want you to speak to a human being or invest in adequate staffing levels.

      1. Expedia Customer service is way to slow in responding to customer queries and complaints. Far too long waiting on a phone and no email confirmation for my flight. The automated message confirmed my booking, however the airline has no details and I have no firm confirmation by email, even though the payment has left my account immediately the booking was completed.   7. Be careful Everyone on paying extra costs for luggage!
    Why is Expedia ripping off people not telling them that luggage not included when booking flights with British Airways. There is no clear indication during the booking process and final confirmation of the itinerary on what luggage you can take.
    I got to the British Airways check in and i had to pay for 2 suitcases of luggage for a family trip to Barcelona from London and back.
    Customer services did not believe me and, in exchange they offered a £50 compensation expedia voucher which is a disgrace and i did not accept. I thoroughly checked my booking with luggage included, the Expedia emails diverts you to the British airway website which just tells you about the type of flight and weight of luggage, there’s is nothing to acknowledged only hand luggage is allowed on my trip.

  9. I booked a flight and hotel on the premise this was subject to a price match guarantee. When i booked the trip I added on transport to the hotel which is itemised as a separate item
    The next day I found the identical hotel and flight £150 cheaper on ice lolly so I thought I would use their price promise guarantee
    Expedia have rejected the claim stating as I had booked transport for £30 it invalidated the guarantee
    I believe their spurious claim would come under unfair terms

Hi, i have booked through expedia for a vacation in December at Buccament Bay resort in St. Vincent however i am getting reports that the hotel is presently having some internal issues resulting in Staff strikes and loss of electricity.   14. I will use Expedia again. It is hard to contact them by phone. You will invariably be told that “the waiting time is between five and eight minutes”, and will then be kept on hold for another 45 minutes, only to be transferred to a call centre in Asia. I finally managed to speak to someone after an hour on the phone, and was told, “there’s nothing we can do to help you because the system has crashed.” In future I will ALWAYS book directly with airlines and hotels so as to avoid this customer service.

    Went onto the airline web checking portal. Seats not reserved.

    Airline had not allocated me the seats. luckily they let me reserve at no charge.

    On the return, no such luck, again, no seat allocated booked for me. Rang airline,.

    Had to travel last minute to India with my elderly mother and transisting through Delhi onto our final destination.

  18. EXPEDIA!!!!!!In August 2017 I had a sudden death in the family and was promised a refund on flights I had booked but had to cancel due to the bereavement . Since then the company have fobbed me off, used every conceivable delaying tactic & come up with excuse after excuse why they have not refunded me my money. I have many emails from customer service filled with poor excuses as to why I have yet to receive my refund ,I have received numerous phone calls when I told them nit to call me which ring for a few seconds but not long enough for me to answer and I’ve literally just received another email saying a supervisor will phone me within 24 hours to discuss my refund..THIS COMPANY IS APPALLING AND ARE WITHOLDING NEARLY £1000 of my money. DO USE EXPEDIA!!!!!

  19. I complained to them in January 2018 about a problem 3 of us had with a return flight from Costa Rica….
    They said they would take 10 days to look into it and get back. I have called them 3 times and both times promised a return call with answers within 72 hours..
    It did not happen. Expedia don’t know how to treat their customers, they are a disgraceful company to book any travel with. I for one will not be using them again….

  20. Dear, i am calling the Customer Services Writing to to raise an issue about: Online travel agent

    The issue that I have experienced was: This property was a disgrace, it was impossible to stay at this property my partner was in tears when she saw it, we had no alternative but to leave and find somewhere else to stay. I did not want any confrontation with the person who booked us in as there was no recognizable reception area, just what I presumed was the owner drinking at the pool side he was sitting at a table with what looked to me like very unsavoury characters. We did not even get our bags out of the hire car!
    The room was extremely tatty with stains on the walls the bathroom was grubby, there was no proper cooking facilities, the rest of the furniture was old and grubby and worst of all the sheets on the bed were clearly not freshly laundered with visible staining.
    Around the pool was very dirty and the sun loungers were covered in stains, all the outside area was unkempt and very scruffy. I would recommend this property be removed from website as a matter of urgency the photos on the website are totally misleading and do not represent the true picture at all!!!!
    As we arrived in Santorini in the early evening, we did not have much time to find a hotel for the night, then had to spend the following morning travelling around trying to find alternative accommodation for the two weeks we had planned to stay in Santorini, this was all extremely upsetting and not how we expected to spend our time at the start of our stay on the island.
    Obviously this has cost us a considerably amount of money and inconvenience so,

    I made an order for my name and the Bendit Fund for dates I have canceled and verified for cancellation at 280 Euros. I spoke to the MARABELA Hotel in Corfu to close a room for 1 and the price I paid for the cancellation would be deducted. I was told by the hotel that they would not charge me for the cancellation as soon as I made a new order on my name and that I had to talk to you so that you could talk to the hotel and confirm that I would not pay for the cancellation.

I booked an overnight stay with expedia at the cargo hotel in Oxford street Southampton for my self and my husband on the 14th June before joining a cruise on the sapphire princess.whenwe got to the hotel we were informed by a cafe owner across the road this hotel had been closed down for six months. We are out of pocket after having to find find alternative accomoition
