I had a bitter experience to deal with , placed an order which had partially supplied and supplied product were not the one ordered, called the manager of the store to get it resolve but rather to accepted the issue , roudly rejected the complaint and refuse to get it resolve , the other remaining item not yet delivered . Although tried pillar to post to have date of delay but no one even able to provide me the date ,
    Called to their delivery centre ten and surprisingly they advice me to called the store as they were still not sure when can this remaining item be delivered . I am not sure if i will recommend furniture village again neither to use to my friends

  2. My wife was recovering from an operation to deal with pancreatic . To give her a boost as she was about to enter 6 months of I decided to give our lounge a makeover.
    To compliment the planned new carpet in the lounge I decided to purchase a new rug and coffee table.
    I visited a local Furniture Village store a placed the order and paid in full with the promise that the items would be delivered in four weeks.
    Three months have passed and in that time the delivery date is constantly being changed.
    The reverse of the Confirmation of Order says the delivery date is given in good faith and is an approximate time but no retailer can use this as an excuse for non delivery of items 2 months beyond the date promised.
    My order was paid in good faith yet I still have no firm expectation of delivery.
    I suppose I have fallen for the old trick played by unscrupulous retailers – promise anything to get the sale and the money then turn awkward when pressed.


    1. I have been waiting for two and a half months for an order that was estimated to take 1 week. No one bothers to return my calls and the customer service has been… I rang the compaints number quoted on their web-site just now and was advised they were closed even though they indicate their opening hours 10-8. This scandalous and i will be taking this matter up with The authorities. My advice is this organisation is disorganised and chaotic and is not to be trusted.

  3. I’ve had a very bad experience with Furniture Village. Ordered a Coffee table only to receive a damaged table. When I have spoken to the aftercare team was told to send some photos. On having done so now I am being told they will send out someone to repair my NEW table which I have refused.

    Not heard back from them in more then 7 days. The aftercare is absolutely disgusting. I will be going to the furniture ombudsman if this matter is not resolved. It’s safe to say I will never buy another item after the experience I’ve had with furniture village.

  4. 3 of 4 chairs delivered, as the 4th was rejected by me (it was a dining table chair, with 1 of the legs 3″ short! – Even the delivery guy had to laugh at it’s obvious issue)
    FV now tell me they are chasing the supplier (despite the fact they have plenty of chairs in their warehouse)
    Cant they just ship me a replacement and they deal with the supplier, as this isnt my fault.

  5. I am having the same issue with Aintree branch. It’s disgusting. I’ve spent the whole day writing to the Ombudsman, the insurers and speaking to the assistant manager who is now saying I bought a different item when all the paperwork confirms the opposite. It’s a solicitor next.

  6. Still waiting after 5 weeks for a repair to a 5mth old reclining chair.
    Costing over £400 I would like to think it would not have to be repaired this early in it’s life.
    But all I can say is that customer service from furniture village seems in my experience to be none existent.
